Built from the ground up to be the ultimate sport side by side, the Teryx KRX 1000 is not to be denied by the world’s toughest trails. The game-changing Teryx KRX 1000 inspires confidence with a terrain-taming combination of power, performance and capability. Add in an unprecedented level of comfort and the superior build quality of Kawasaki side by sides, and you’ve got everything you need to push the limits for an adventure of a lifetime.

Ready to Take on Tough Trails

When it comes to having fun, the KRX 1000 is fully equipped to take on forest and rock trails. Its powerful, high-torque engine is complemented by CVT transmission with a centrifugal clutch for smooth acceleration and superb control. Its wide stance and long wheelbase offer a sturdy base, while its long wheel travel and large tyres were designed to soak up obstacles encountered on the trail with ease.

Powerful, High-Revving Litre-Class Engine with Robust Low-End Torque

Offering the best of both worlds, the KRX 1000’s compact 999 cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke parallel twin engine delivers both high power and high torque. Its well-balanced performance enables both high-rpm operation as well as low-speed running, and its easy character accommodates a wide range of situations, from trail running to technical sections.

Acceleration Control & Stable Engine Braking

Complementing the high-torque response of the KRX 1000’s powerful parallel twin engine, the continuously variable transmission (CVT) and centrifugal clutch are the key to its superior acceleration control at slow and very slow speeds. By eliminating the shock of the CVT belt engaging, the centrifugal clutch facilitates precise throttle control when navigating rock crawls or other tricky terrain. When rolling down steep inclines, stable engine braking offers reassuring support.

Chassis Designed for Hardy Performance

Wheels positioned as far apart as possible contribute to the KRX 1000’s overall stance. Its long 2,510 mm (99”) wheelbase, combined with the long wheel travel, contributes to its performance and ride comfort, while its wide stance helps the vehicle maintain its line when cornering. (Tread measures 1,505 mm (59”) at the front; 1,510 mm (59”) at the rear.)Non-current colour shown

Advantageous Dimensions

Wheels pushed out to the four corners of the vehicle actually extend beyond the bodywork. Approach and departure angles of 90? mean that the tyres are the first to encounter obstacles on the trail. Ample ground clearance is complemented by the angled underbody, which helps reduce the chance of striking objects when navigating rock crawls.

Ground-Hugging Suspension

Instrumental components of the KRX 1000’s off-road capability as an adventure/trail model, the long suspension arms and massive FOX 2.5 LSC Piggyback Shocks easily soak up obstacles encountered on the trail, and the suspension’s ability to keep all four wheels in contact with the ground keeps the KRX 1000 moving forward. Long wheel travel combined with independent suspension action also translates to a superior ramp travel index.Non-current colour shown

31" Tyres with 15" Bead-Lock Wheels

Large-diameter tyres and bead-lock wheels contribute to the KRX 1000’s superior off-road capability. The 31” MAXXIS Carnivore tyres more easily ride over small obstacles than their smaller-diameter counterparts, their off-road pattern offers enhanced grip for climbing over rocks in rock crawls, and their 8PR construction offers excellent puncture resistance. The 15” aluminium wheels feature bead-lock rims designed to hold the tyre beads in place in off-road riding situations.Non-current colour shown

Unmatched Durability

Backed by renowned Teryx durability and reliability, both the engine and frame of the KRX 1000 were designed to withstand tough conditions without being compromised. High build quality is complemented by extensive undercarriage protection, while on-the-fly-adjustable power delivery, including Power Mode selection, and a wide rear carrier large enough to accommodate a spare wheel add to peace of mind.

Highly Rigid Frame with Integrated ROPS

Designed using Kawasaki’s advanced dynamic rigidity analysis, the KRX 1000’s frame incorporates the Rollover Protection Structure (ROPS) as a stressed member. The energy-absorbing ROPS design helps dissipate stress, contributing to optimal rigidity balance and high durability. All of the KRX 1000’s high-quality engine and chassis components were built to last, with all parts subjected to strict testing and high Kawasaki standards for durability.Non-current colour shown

Protected Undercarriage

Undercarriage is covered by highly durable skid-plates, with key components protected by steel pieces, adding to driver confidence. Steel plates behind the front fenders offer the vehicle protection from rocks and other flying debris.Non-current colour shown

On-the-Fly-Adjustable Power Delivery

The KRX 1000’s electrically selectable 4WD and front differential lock can be engaged while on the go, enabling the driver to quickly and easily switch between drive systems to suit changing terrain and applications. Power Mode selection offers the choice of Full or Low power to suit preference and conditions.

Large Rear Carrier Space

The rear carrier space is large enough to accommodate a spare tyre up to 32”- a highly reassuring feature when planning to venture deep into the wilderness. The carrier’s recessed bottom also makes it easier to secure other large items.Non-current colour shown

Enjoy the Ride

As the latest evolution of Kawasaki’s Teryx side by side models, it should come as no surprise that the KRX 1000 was also designed to deliver superior comfort. Roomy interior space and ground-hugging suspension that soaks up bumps encountered on the trail mean driver and passenger can strap into the high-backed bucket seats and simply enjoy the ride.

Roomy Interior with Adjustable Ergonomics

While the driving position was optimised for the woods and rock trails, the KRX 1000’s roomy cabin greatly contributes to ride comfort. High-backed bucket seats and three-point seatbelts support driver and passenger during hard riding, while providing comfortable seating during more leisurely riding. Ample legroom, lever-adjustable seats and tilt steering allow the driver to fine-tune their position for control and comfort.Non-current colour shown

Doors

Standard doors can be opened from both inside and outside, offer a wide opening, and feature armrests for additional comfort.

Electric Power Steering

Kawasaki’s high-grade electric power steering (EPS) system is speed sensitive, offering light steering effort at low speed, while reducing assistance as vehicle speed increases to ensure responsive steering. It also enhances ride comfort and control by acting as a damping system, reducing kickback to the steering wheel caused by shocks to the wheels.Non-current colour shown

All-digital instrumentation

Positioned above the steering wheel, large all-digital instrumentation offers at-a-glance information to the driver. Features include a bar-style tachometer (with 2 display options), digital speedometer, bar-style fuel gauge, gear indicator (L, H, N, R), Power Mode, driving mode (2WD/4WD/4WD+Diff Lock) indicator, Economical Riding Indicator, clock, odometer, dual trip meters, hour meter, various gauges, indicators and warning lamps, and a new low-battery warning lamp.

Convenience Features

Numerous built-in storage spaces (two closed, one open), a total of five cup-holders, and a handy DC socket integrated into the dashboard all add to the comfort of the well-designed interior.
